Take care of Your heart Darling just because It's the only one That I want to Love Try to keep it warm and dry Take care of Your heart Because it's also mine Tuck it into bed Right next to your head Sing it lullabies goodnight Don't you beat it up Beat it up too much Take care of Your heart for me my love And When it seems That you hate everything And you're heart Is as empty as can be Take care of Your heart Darling just because It's the only one That I want to Love Try to keep it warm and dry Take care of Your heart Because it's also mine I wish you could see All the things that you do to me You make my heart sing My heart sing I need Your sweet heart to harmonize, harmonize I need your sweet heart to harmonize And When it seems That you hate everything And you're heart Is as empty as can be Take care of Your heart Darling just because It's the only one That I want to Love Try to keep it warm and dry Take care of Your heart Because it's also mine

Oh you leave it inside All those feelings you're trying to hide How she lights you up How she lights you up like a firefly Oh she makes you feel Oh she makes you feel How she makes you feel How she makes you feel Oh does she know? Does she know just how you feel? Oh does she see what beats inside your heart is real? What can you say, what can you do to let her know? What can you say, what can you do to let it show? You should give her a call Let her know what's behind those walls But you feel so small like a tight knit ball And you're swirling inside feeling alive And she's swirling inside feeling alive Oh does she know? Does she know just how you feel? Oh does she see what beats inside your heart is real? What can you say, what can you do to let her know? What can you say, what can you do to let it show? Oh does she know? Does she know just how you feel? Oh does she see what beats inside your heart is real? What beats inside your heart is real What beats inside your heart is real What beats inside what beats inside What beats inside what beats inside Beats inside your heart Beats inside your heart

Darling, Darling don't be alarmed Sometimes my colours take hold And I lose my charm I know that these mistakes aren't fine But forgive me 'cause I'll make them From time to time Rest assured you see I'm not that guy I've got a great big heart but the wirings awry Tangled web lies beneath but my love for you Is lying in between Oh, it's lying in between It's warm in the centre for you my love Well I guess I'm in the process of cleaning up Just trying to figure myself out And discover my awaiting route Rest assured you see I'm not that guy I've got a great big heart but the wirings awry Tangled web lies beneath but my love for you Is lying in between Oh, it's lying in between So cut me open Let's figure this out Let's filter out that problem that is dragging me down Make me run one-hundred and one percent Well, these heart strings are out of tune and bent I've got too much milage On my mind from being hard on myself All of the time I wish that I could just stop and breathe And see who I could really be Rest assured you see I'm not that guy I've got a great big heart but the wirings awry Tangled web lies beneath but my love for you Is lying in between Oh, it's lying in between

I know I'm gonna be alone tonight Settle in because it's gonna be a hell of a night I'll probably watch a bit on the T.V. And fall asleep to a flashing blue screen I wish it didn't have to move so slow Maybe then I wouldn't mind being alone I think about what you're doing tonight And then I wish you didn't cross my mind ba da da da da da... I'll toss and turn until I fall asleep trying hard not to think of you and me And when I finally get to close these eyes I hope you're not in my dreams tonight ba da da da da da.... And when I'm finally drenched in morning light I know that I'll be alright I know this sounds so hard to believe But you're not always on my mind you see

Blue Bird 02:13
I've got a blue bird singing in a tree Singing just for me she's singing just for me I've got a blue bird that feels all too blue Feels all too blue She feels all too blue I've got a blue bird that no longer sings No longer sings She no longer sings I had a blue bird but she flew away She flew away She flew away I hope the blue bird comes back to me one day Back to me one day Back to me one day I had a blue bird singing in a tree Singing just for me She was singing just for me

When I die I'll disappear into a hole My body may be gone But you'll never lose my soul I'll slowly corrode Giving back to the earth Maybe serving a purpose I was meant to serve And I'll float Somewhere in between Where we are And somewhere we can't see And I'll fall into The energy of everything And I'll go through the highs and lows Only she, only she will know And I'll go through the highs and lows Only time, only time will know And I'll fall into The energy of everything

Dark thoughts They're filling my head Dark thoughts To find them again You left You left a hole For dark thoughts

Don't make a sound Because I'm trying to hear The truth you see Is so quiet dear It hides away It can escape It's frightened babe I can feel it shake You read all of the books you can It's not enough The hole expands Don't make a sound... Everyday You step outside Subject to chance It's a strange romance The sky's so blue Snowflakes fall You feel so cold You feel nothing at all But listen up I'm sure you'll hear There is a sound It's drawing near Don't make a sound...

about

"Don't Make a Sound" is the new album of songs by Matthew Ariaratnam's solo project, Waylaid. The songs wrestle with love, heartbreak, meaning, truth, and death. “Don't Make a Sound because I'm trying to hear, the truth you see is so quiet dear” are the opening lyrics to the title track of the album, confronting the noise of humanity. For Matthew, these songs are the filters used to understand it better.

The album was recorded almost entirely by Matthew Ariaratnam in his closet and bedrooms of his house, which is the home of the newly launching, Three Eight Six records, co-founded by Matthew Ariaratnam and Aneeq Kalson. This will be one of the first releases on the new label.
